Product: HP LaserJet MFP M140we Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

HP LaserJet MFP M140we  Printer. Out of the box

Printer installed omits the final "e' which gives it a different serial number, and problems such as registration, printing etc.

Printed OK to begin with, but with error messages, not specified, but warned of eventual cessation of printing.

Unable to find any errors, carried on, then the axe fell!

Error messages include "cannot add printer to your account" "printer offline" .etc

I've been trying  to recover the situation since. Including a telephone consultation which was horrendous.

My experience would suggest that all such things are capable of being sorted, but changing the name of the apparatus seems to be beyond me..

Any help would be appreciated, I've lost count of the number of foxholes I've been down.

By the way, I had to change my modem during all this to add to the joys!

HP Recommended

The name change generated a new PRODUCT number.

Those foxholes are getting to me!
