Note:  My printer worked just fine till I did the below.   It no longer turns on.  (No panel light anymore)

I have removed the power cord, and tried a different plug in, and nada along with a few other things mentioned on the internet.

It was ON DURNING THE UPDATE.

Here is what started this mess.

After receiving Windows update I have been getting a windows hardware error and my system was shutting down.

I went in and and allowed update to search for device drivers and got this:

So I went to the HP page.   Note, the printer was ON, and panel had all the options at this time.

I put in the printer info, it downloaded and .exe  file, and I ran it.

As it was going through setup and I rec'd msg that it couldn't find printer, This happens occasionally when I try to print as it's using WIFI, so I did what I do when this happens,  I turn off the printer and take retry on the computer screen.   That 'retry' turns on and connects the printer. (all other times)

I don't have the retry screeenshot but computer was being picky about what it was letting me take screenshots of during the attempted update from HP.. this was the last image I got before it wanted me to register my product

This is just wrong.  An update from HP should stop my printer from working?  Either that or an amazing coincidence.  Please provide and info you can on what I can do to get it working again.   I don't use it all that much, but when you need a printer/scanner, well you need one.   Don't know that I want to spend another 100-200 on an HP.

Many thanks in advance.
