Hi,

Printer not being found in search results. Its HP Smart Tank 515, bought 3 years ago. I reinstalled HP Smart App 2-3 times but not working.

Please help.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Smart Tank 515 printer isn't being found in the HP Smart app despite reinstalling it multiple times, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

 

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is powered on and connected to the same WiFi network as your computer or mobile device running the HP Smart app.
  • Check if the WiFi connection on your printer is stable and active.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer by turning it off and then back on.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device that you're using to run the HP Smart app.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device. Go to your app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and check for updates.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure that your WiFi network is working properly and that there are no connectivity issues.
  • Try connecting your device to a different WiFi network to see if the printer appears in the app.

Check for Firewall or Security Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall or security settings on your network or device can block the printer from being discovered. Temporarily disable any firewall or security software and see if the printer shows up.

Reset Printer and App:

  • Reset your printer's network settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset network settings.
  • Uninstall the HP Smart app again, restart your device, and then reinstall the app.

Manual Connection (if applicable):

  • Some printers allow for manual connection through WiFi Direct or a similar method. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to connect manually.
