There are some threads already about the need use use 2.4 GHz band speed router for printers. What I have encountered is that my new Spectrum router does not support 2.4 GHz. Spectrum states that they are only issuing routers for 5 GHz going forward. They recommend purchasing my own dual-band router. Since HP is aware of this, it would be nice if the instructions stated something to the effect that 2.4 GHz is required. After alot ot time trying to circumvent all the bots and AI, I was on the phone with a real person for quite a while before she asked me to give her the serial number on my router and a light bulb went on for her that there have been issues with certain Spectrum routers. With that she created a support ticket and promised a phone call from Support 24-48 hours - which I never received. I finally got my answer ttalking to a Spectrum tech. It would have save me hours trying to figure out where the problem was, trying to talk to a real person etc. I now have a dual-band router on order - will update this post if I get it installed correctly and everything works

The challenge is that while many of the HP products state 5Ghz, I have found that most of them are compatible with the first generation 5Ghz and not the more current standards. One option, if your device has a wired ethernet port is to purchase a mesh extender with a wired port on it like this:

It will be much cheaper and less configuration to purchase this and you simply connect the printer to the adapter with a ethernet cable and configure the device to your wireless. I realize this is extra expense but I am only here as a volunteer to help users.
