Hi @Grace0324

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP printer, It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2810e printer is encountering an issue where it can't print the intended document, but instead prints a message saying that you are unable to print. This issue can occur due to various reasons, such as connectivity issues, incorrect settings, or software glitches. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem:

1. Check Printer Status and Connection:

  • Check if the printer is online: Ensure that the printer is not in "Offline" mode. If it is, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (or Settings > Printers & Scanners) and right-click the printer icon. Make sure to select "Use Printer Online" if it's set to offline.
  • Check the Wi-Fi connection: If you're printing wirelessly, ensure that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network properly. You can check the printer's display screen for any Wi-Fi icon or connection status. If necessary, reconnect the printer to the network.

2. Check Print Queue:

  • Open "Printers & Scanners" on your computer and select your HP DeskJet 2810e printer.
  • Check if there are any stuck print jobs in the print queue. If there are, try to clear the queue by canceling the print jobs or restarting the printer.

3. Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Restart the printer: Turn the printer off, wait for about 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Restart your computer: Sometimes restarting both devices can resolve communication errors.

4. Update Printer Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause printing issues. Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 2810e printer.
  • Install or reinstall drivers: After downloading, run the installer to install or update the printer driver. You can also use HP Smart or HP Support Assistant to check for updates.

5. Check Ink Levels:

  • Low ink levels: Sometimes, if the ink cartridges are low or empty, it might prevent printing, but some printers will still allow printing a test page or other information.
  • Check the ink levels on the printer display or use the HP Smart app to check the status.

6. Reset Printer Settings:

  • Factory Reset: You can try performing a factory reset on the printer. This will reset all settings to default, and it might help resolve any configuration issues causing the problem.
    • To reset your HP DeskJet 2810e, follow the instructions in the user manual or check the HP website for a reset guide.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
