Product: HP Officejet 4635 e-All-in-One Printer

After I  Uninstalled and reinstalled Hp smart  and Hp print service. I get a message the my printer is unavailable.  My printer has been working fine up until late March or early April. Want I'm not understanding is why my printer stop functioning after your states it has EXPIRED.  THERE SHOULD BEEN NO DISCONNECTED AFTER AN EXPIRATION.  I don't want any service other then to find out why my printer has stop functioning.  About a month ago, I was instructed to perform a reset. But instructions didn't mesh.
