I purchased a HP 3760, when connected to my laptop it got recognised , i started to print my first piece, all seemed ok, when I tried to print a second document the on/off button started flashing and was unable to print anything unless i turned the printer off and then reconnected the usb cable, what is going wrong?

I owned this printer for a few years and it printed just fine, up to last week.   Now will not print from my iPhone.   It does make copies ok.  I’ve shut down the printer and unplugged.  Also restarted my iPhone.  Still no luck printing.
