I just switched internet providers and now my printer is offline. I have an Officejet 4500 wireless printer but I can’t change it to the new wifi. My printer only prints when it’s connected to my PC with a USB cable. I’ve tried using the setup CD that came with the printer but when my computer actually manages to read the CD the setup program does not respond and I have to restart my computer, so trying to use that method feels like a lost cause. I’ve also tried using HP easy start and I’ve downloaded two other setup softwares that also have not worked. The software I thought would work asked me to plug in my printer with a USB cable but when I do my device does not appear on the setup. My printer does not have a touchscreen panel so there’s no way to change the wifi directly on my printer. I’m wondering if there is another method that I have not tried yet or if I’m just going about it all wrong. I really need my printer to be able to work wirelessly because I print from my laptop as well as from my PC so I can’t use a USB cable forever.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's reset the network settings: Go to the setup menu> network menu>Restore Network Defaults
Once done, you can try connecting the Printer to the Wi-Fi.
Let me know if this helps.
