Deskjet 4133e All in one printer. Printer offline after a power outage. All lights blinking. Try to turn off but had to unplug. Still didn't work. Called HP and was told I need a new printer. Printer is not even a year old. Was also plugged into a surge protector. Any help out there? Thanks Kim

Hi @CliffPark ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's unfortunate to hear about the issues with your HP DeskJet 4133e printer. Before considering purchasing a new printer, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Power Cycle:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
Check Connections:
- Ensure that all cables and connections are securely plugged in. This includes power cables, USB cables, and any other connections the printer may have.
Reset the Printer:
- Sometimes, printers may benefit from a reset. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset or a specific type of reset.
Update Firmware:
- Visit the HP official website and check for any firmware updates for your printer model. If there are updates available, follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause issues.
Test with a Different Power Outlet:
- Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the outlet or surge protector.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
