Hi @CN21QDW07R,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be an issue with the connection or settings on your laptop that's preventing it from printing to your HP printer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Make sure your HP printer is properly connected to your laptop via USB cable (if it's a wired connection) or that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (if it's a wireless connection).
  • Ensure the printer is powered on and ready to receive print jobs.

Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes, outdated or corrupt printer drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Install them on your laptop and see if that resolves the problem.

Printer Settings:

  • On your laptop, go to the Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac).
  • Check the printer settings to ensure your HP printer is set as the default printer.
  • Verify there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue that could be causing a blockage.

Restart Devices:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting both your laptop and the HP printer can resolve connectivity issues.

Firewall or Security Software:

  • Sometimes, security software or firewall settings can block printing. Temporarily disable these and try printing again to see if it makes a difference.

Network Issues:

  • If you're using a wireless connection, check your Wi-Fi connection on the laptop. Ensure it's connected to the correct network and that the signal strength is adequate.

Test Print from Different Applications:

  • Try printing from different applications on your laptop to see if the issue is specific to one program.

Check for Errors or Alerts on the Printer:

  • Look at the printer's display panel or check its app (if it has one) for any error messages or alerts that could indicate what might be wrong.

Update Firmware:

  • If the printer has its own firmware, ensure it's up to date. Sometimes firmware updates can fix bugs or improve compatibility with devices.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
