hello, I’ve had my printer since February 2020. I got a free trial of instant ink when I bought the printer have have since continued the subscription - I’ve only had one ink delivery since so I really don’t use my printer very often. I have 15 free pages a month to print which is more than enough, but this month I’ve been charged for additional pages through instant ink as i have apparently printed 20 additional pages. The reason being why I may have printed more is because each time I turn my printer on to print something it prints out loads of tests pages for realignment, every single time!! Is there any way I can stop the test pages constantly? It’s such a waste of paper and ink and I’m annoyed that I need to pay for printing the printer has decided to do itself!!!

@Eilidh2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the printer is printing test pages on every start-up. If the alignment was not successful the previous time, the printer will try to align the ink cartridges on every restart.

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document.

Also, to assist you better, we would need some information related to your Instant Ink Subscription. This information cannot be shared on a public post.

I have sent you a private message, reply to the message with your details.
