Microsoft Windows 11

Hi folks,

Running window 11 pro 21H2 and have installed successfully the window 11 drivers for my printer however it only prints in letter not A4.  After deleting the drivers and software three time I noticed that the printer properties panel in 'printers and scanner' shows only letter paper available, unlike my Epson, which is on the same PC, that has multiple papers available.

Attempts to fix it include:

  • Full removing and reinstalling the latest Window 11 drivers for this printer
  • Changing all printer paper size to A4
  • Ensuring that the application is set to A4
  • Updated printer to the latest firmware

I'm I doing something wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Resolved.

My bad - feel like a noob.   I was printing with borderless on which had the affect of moving the print up so appeared like it was printing letter.

Still dont know why the properties only have letter available though.

Hi,

Open the Device Settings tab and ensure the required size is selected there.

Next, go to the Advanced tab and click the Printing Defaults button, there ensure the correct paper size is set and press OK.

Within the General tab click Printing Preferences, there ensure the paper size setting too and press OK, then click Apply and the value should change.
