My printer is on the same network as my computer, but it shows as offline and I have to restart the printer between every print job. I reinstalled the driver and it found the printer then said it's online, but then it throws a printing error.

Likely your printer drivers are configured using a WSD port. Very unreliable   Change port type to Standard TCP/IP port. On PC go to control panel, devices and printers and right click on printer icon and then select printer properties.  Go to ports tab, Click add new port and select Standard TCP/IP and when prompted for address use the IP address of the printer.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You were right, it was a WSD port. I made the change and it printed immediately, which is new behavior. So your fix seems to have worked, and it took just a minute to do.
