HP LaserJet M110we Printer

I bought this printer, and as my use of this sweet little printer is a lot of printing to or three times a year the HP Instant Ink did not work.  I canselled instant ink after 6-7 months, and returned the toner, bought new original toner HP toner.  I reinstalled the printer and it worked fine.  For a  while.

Now the printer only reports that there is a problem with my HP account.  It is not.
I belive it want my printer to be in the HP instant ink program, but it does not say so, only that it is a problem with my account.  Is it so that with this printer I MUST be in the instant ink program?

Hi @Maria_Myrland,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re experiencing a frustrating issue with your HP LaserJet M110we printer. Here are some steps and insights to help you troubleshoot this problem.

Account Verification

  • Log into your HP Account: Verify that your account is active and there are no issues. Make sure the printer is linked to your account.
  • Check Subscription Status: Since you canceled the Instant Ink subscription, ensure that your account reflects this change and is not attempting to access any subscription features.

Printer Setup

  • Reconfigure the Printer: Go through the setup process again to ensure the printer is correctly connected to your Wi-Fi and account.
  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes, a factory reset can resolve these issues. Check your printer’s manual for instructions on how to reset it.

Toner Issues

  • Check Toner Installation: Make sure the new original HP toner is installed correctly. Sometimes, incorrect installation can lead to error messages.
  • Compatibility Check: Verify that the toner cartridge you purchased is compatible with the M110we model.

Error Messages

  • Review Error Messages: If the printer provides a specific error message related to the account or the toner, take note of it. You can search for solutions based on that message.

HP Instant Ink Requirement

  • The HP LaserJet M110we is designed to be compatible with HP Instant Ink, but it is not mandatory to be enrolled in that program to use the printer. However, if it was initially registered under Instant Ink, it might still be trying to connect to that service.

Firmware Update

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, bugs in older firmware versions can cause these types of errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
