HP Deskjet 6127
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP 6127 printer connected via ethernet cable to router  (Speedport Plus 2).  I was having trouble with being unable to print  and  I eventually determined that it was because of the router cycling the IP address.  So I went in and set the printers IP address to a static IP address.  The problem is that I mistyped the static IP address.  I meant to type 192.168.1.3, but accidentally typed 162.168.1.3  Now I can't connect to the printer to reset the static IP address.

When I go to browser and type in 162.168.1.3, it gives me nothing .

I've tried unplugging the printer - that didn't work.

I tried the reset procedure using the printer's buttons on the front panel - that didn't work.

So, is there any way to fix it or just I throw the printer away ?

Thanks.

You can set manually IP address on your computer to start with 162.168.1.x  then connect directly printer with LAN cable to a computer ( without a router) and try will then you have access to printers IP that can be changed on a computer.

Then you can connect everything back it was and set the old 192. IP address on the computer.
