HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

The printer setup is incomplete. When I attempt to complete the set up it will only keep saying go to Home Screen from the app. I don’t know how to move forward.

If you're having trouble completing the setup of your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

 

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device or computer. You can check the printer's display panel for network settings.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • If the app prompts you to set up the printer again, select Add Printer or the + button.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Reset the Printer Network Settings:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network > Restore Network Settings. This will reset the printer's network settings and allow you to set it up again.
  • After resetting, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the HP Smart app.

Update the HP Smart App:

  • Make sure the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version. Check for updates in the app store on your device.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that the printer has the latest firmware. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.

Use a Different Device:

  • If possible, try using a different mobile device or computer to set up the printer. Sometimes, switching devices can resolve app-related issues.

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can try performing a factory reset on the printer:
    • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults. Note that this will erase any custom settings.

If you’re still unable to complete the setup, it may be best to contact HP phone support for further assistance.
