Hi @Karan1997,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Ink Tank 310 printer is not working with your Chromebook laptop, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure that the HP Ink Tank 310 is compatible with Chromebook. Chromebooks generally support Google Cloud Print-compatible printers. Verify that your printer model is on the list of compatible devices.
Connect to the Same Wi-Fi Network: Both your Chromebook and the printer should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This ensures that they can communicate with each other.
Enable Google Cloud Print: Chromebooks use Google Cloud Print to connect to printers. Make sure that Google Cloud Print is enabled on your Chromebook.
- Go to "Settings" on your Chromebook.
- Click on "Advanced" at the bottom.
- Under "Printing," click on "Google Cloud Print."
- Ensure that the setting is toggled ON.
Set up the Printer on Google Cloud Print: If you haven't already done so, set up your HP Ink Tank 310 on Google Cloud Print. You can do this by following these steps.
- Open Google Chrome on your Windows, Mac, or Chromebook computer.
- Type "chrome://devices" in the address bar and press Enter.
- Under "Classic Printers," click on "Add Printer."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
Check Printer Connection: Make sure that your HP Ink Tank 310 is turned on and properly connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Restart Devices: Try restarting both your Chromebook and the HP Ink Tank 310 printer. This can help clear any temporary glitches.
Check Printer Settings on Chromebook: Ensure that the correct printer is selected as the default printer on your Chromebook. You can find this setting in the "Print" dialog when trying to print a document.
Update Chrome OS: Ensure that your Chromebook is running the latest version of Chrome OS. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could resolve compatibility issues.
Try Printing from Another Device: If possible, try printing from a different device (e.g., a Windows or Mac computer) to see if the issue is specific to the Chromebook or the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
