I have had a hp printer for years (different models) . I was always able to resize a photo and print it the same size. It seenms all the choices you had aren’t there anymore  ie passport size pics. Everything printed comes out full page. No matter what size paper you use it will print a full size print. Can anyone help as I have been trying to print a small photo for my daughters locket.

Hi @Kram1964,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be a setting or configuration issue with your HP printer settings that's causing this problem. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Print Settings:

  • When you go to print, ensure that you're selecting the correct paper size and photo size settings. Look for options like "Actual Size," "Fit to Page," or "Custom."

Printer Properties:

  • Before printing, right-click on your printer in the Printers and Scanners settings (on Windows) or Print & Fax preferences (on macOS). Check the printer properties and ensure the paper size and print quality settings are correct.

Software Settings:

  • Use the printer software that came with your printer or the HP Smart app to adjust print settings. Look for options like "Resize," "Scale," or "Custom Size" to set the exact dimensions for your photo.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Reset Printer Preferences:

  • If you've customized your printer preferences in the past, resetting them to default settings might resolve the issue. This option is usually available in the printer properties or settings menu.

Check Printer Firmware:

  • Occasionally, firmware updates can also fix printing problems. Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model and install it if necessary.

Test with Different Software:

  • Try printing the photo from a different application or software. Sometimes, the problem may be related to the software you're using to print the photo.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
