Hi @benoma,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is when your HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer setup fails with HP Smart and shows Error Code: UU_400_EB000A9900. Let’s walk through a solution to resolve the issue.

1. Use HP Smart’s Diagnose & Fix Tool

HP Smart has a built-in tool that can automatically detect and resolve setup issues.

  • Open the HP Smart app on your Windows or macOS device.
  • Click the wrench icon (bottom left).
  • Select Diagnose & Fix and follow the prompts.

2. Check Router Settings (Disable AP Isolation)

Some routers have a setting called AP IsolationClient Isolation, or Wireless Isolation that blocks devices from communicating on the same network.

  • Log in to your router settings.
  • Look for AP Isolation or similar under wireless settings.
  • Disable it temporarily during printer setup.

3. Reset Printer and Retry Setup

If the printer is stuck or partially initialized:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Retry setup using the HP Smart app.

If the printer still won’t respond, try restoring factory defaults via the Embedded Web Server (EWS)🔗 HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer - Troubleshooting | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
