Totally infuriated with HP Smart wanting to run things - now uninstalled.

Following on-line advice downloaded Full_Webpack-40.15.1231-DJ3700_Full_Webpack and HPEasyStart_13_5_8 but the installation will not complete without me clicking through to download HP Smart and then tells me that my browser is not supported (Google Chrome and MS Edge on laptop less than a month old).

I've been going around in circles all day!

Do not use the Easystart file. You only need to run the Webpack that you downloaded.

Thanks Repairatrooper,

As the installation comes to an end, the installation window is replaced by a new window:

The window can't be minimized or re-sized, only closed (which stops the installation) or clicked through the "Get Software".

When clicked through I hit a brick wall that I'm banging my head against:

Just been pointed towards Windows "Fax and Scan" hiding in my system tools - seems to do what I want without being too clunky (and I can remove the word "fax" from the shortcut)
