I just bought a HP DeskJet Plus 4120 printer and I can't finish the setup because after I put the ink cartridges in and close the gate HP Smart does not go on with further instructions and it's stuck on the "close the cartridge gate" step..I'm setting the printer via USB cable as I currently don't have Wi-Fi at home...

I understand the printer is stuck at this message and you are unable to complete the setup.
Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges
Check for any jams inside the printer - 'E4' Error Displays (Paper Jam)
Make sure the carriage is moving freely and the ink cartridge access door is firmly shut.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
