Hi @Gigi0807,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the printer setup.
To complete the setup of your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer, you'll need to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. If the "HP-SETUP" network isn't appearing as an option, follow these steps to get it set up:
Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
- Power on the printer.
- Reset the network settings:
- Touch the Wi-Fi button (or Wi-Fi Direct button) and the Cancel button on the printer control panel simultaneously. Hold for about 5 seconds until the power light blinks, which indicates the network settings have been reset.
Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode
- Enable Wi-Fi setup mode:
- After resetting, the printer should automatically enter Wi-Fi setup mode, indicated by a blinking blue light on the Wi-Fi button.
- If it doesn’t, you can manually enable it by pressing the Information button and holding it until all control panel buttons light up. Then, press the Information button and the Cancel button simultaneously.
Step 3: Connect to the HP-SETUP Network
- Check for the HP-SETUP network:
- On your computer or mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and look for a network named "HP-Setup-ENVY-6055e" (or similar).
- Select this network to connect your device to the printer temporarily.
Step 4: Complete the Setup Using HP Smart App
- Download and open the HP Smart app:
- Make sure you have the HP Smart app installed on your device. You can download it from the HP Smart website or from your device’s app store.
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Open the HP Smart app and select "Add Printer."
- The app should detect the printer in setup mode. Follow the instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network and complete the setup process.
Tips:
- Make sure your device (phone, tablet, or computer) is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want your printer to connect to. (2.4ghz)
- Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device for the initial setup as the HP Smart app may use Bluetooth to detect the printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
