Hi there  My printer is showing as Ready but won't show on my printer list as an option to select to print to there, would anyone know why please?

If your HP DeskJet Plus 4122 All-In-One Printer is showing as "Ready" but is not appearing in the list of available printers when you try to print, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. If it's a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the computer. If it's a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off both your printer and your computer. Wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on. This can sometimes resolve communication issues.

Verify Printer Status:

  • Check the printer's display for any error messages or warnings. Resolve any issues indicated on the printer's display.

Check Printer Queue:

  • Open the print queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs. If there are, try canceling them and then try printing again.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall the printer drivers from your computer and then reinstall them. You can download the latest drivers from the official HP website.

Set Default Printer:

  • Make sure that your HP DeskJet Plus 4122 is set as the default printer on your computer. Sometimes, the default printer might be set to another printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

Check for Software Conflicts:
