How do I know my envy 6032e printer is in standby mode

Hi @KeithB77,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

To determine if your HP ENVY 6032e printer is in standby mode, look for the following indicators:

1. Power Light Behavior:

  • When the printer is in standby mode, the Power button light on the printer will typically be dimmed or pulsing slowly, indicating that the printer is in a low-power state but ready to wake up when needed.

2. Control Panel Display:

  • The control panel or display screen (if applicable) may be off or dimmed when the printer is in standby mode.

3. Quiet Operation:

  • The printer will be silent with no operational sounds, like fan noise or motor movement, indicating it's not actively printing or scanning.

4. Status from HP Smart App:

  • If you have the HP Smart app installed, you can check the printer status. In standby mode, the printer will usually show as “Ready” or “Idle” without active print jobs.

5. Network Connection:

  • The Wi-Fi or network status light (if your printer has one) will still be on or flashing, indicating that the printer remains connected to the network even in standby mode.

If the printer does not respond to print commands or the app shows it as "offline," it may have gone into a deeper sleep mode, requiring you to press the power button to wake it up.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
