I have changed all page settings to A4 in the printer properties. However in the preferences the page size is shown as letter which in turn is causing a program to abort when selecting certain print options stating pages setting are incompatible.
How may i get the preferences to show A4 as the paper size

@Pelikiro, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue where your HP OfficeJet 5610 printer is stuck on "Letter" size in Printing Preferences on Windows 11, even after setting A4 in Printer Properties:
Open Control Panel:
- Press Windows + R, type control, and hit Enter.
Go to Devices and Printers:
- Click on Devices and Printers under Hardware and Sound.
Access Printer Preferences:
- Right-click on your HP OfficeJet 5610 printer.
- Select Printing Preferences (not Properties).
Change Paper Size to A4:
- In the Printing Preferences window, go to the Paper/Quality or Features tab (depending on driver version).
- Locate Paper Size and change it to A4.
- Click Apply and then OK.
Set A4 in Printer Properties (if not already done):
- Right-click the printer again and select Printer Properties.
- Go to the Device Settings or Advanced tab.
- Ensure A4 is selected as the default paper size.
Check Regional Settings (Optional but Recommended):
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
- Ensure your region is set to a country that uses A4 (e.g., India, UK).
- This helps Windows default to A4 in new print dialogs.
Restart the Application and Try Printing Again:
- Close and reopen the program you're printing from.
- Try printing again and verify that A4 is now the default.
If the Issue Persists:
Reinstall the Printer Driver:
- Download the latest full-feature driver for your printer from the HP Support Page.
- Uninstall the current printer from Devices and Printers.
- Reinstall using the downloaded driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
