Welcome to HP Support Community, @Aditik

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

  1. If your printer is defaulting to a 5x7 paper size, you can change this setting by adjusting the print settings in your print driver. Here's how to change the default paper size:
  2. Open Printer Settings:
Go to the Control Panel on your computer.
Navigate to "Devices and Printers" or "Printers and Faxes."
  3. Access Printer Properties:
  4. Right-click on your HP printer and select "Printer Properties" or "Printing Preferences."
  5. Adjust Paper Size:
  6. Look for the "Paper/Quality" or "Setup" tab in the printer properties window.
Find the "Paper Size" dropdown menu or list.
  7. Select the Desired Paper Size:
  8. Choose the correct paper size (such as Letter or A4) from the list of available options.
  9. Save the Changes:
  10. Click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes.
  11. Test the Settings:
  12. Print a test page to ensure the printer is using the correct paper size.
By following these steps, you should be able to correct the default paper size setting for your printer. If the printer keeps defaulting to the wrong paper size, you may need to check the settings in the specific application you are printing from, as it might have its own printer settings overriding the default.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
