I’ve been fighting this issue for 5 years!!! So...here's the story. I bought the printer off Amazon in 2017. It received little use before I moved. After getting settled in my new house I finally got my office setup. After printing some contracts, I finally ran out of the starter ink cartridges that came with the printer. I purchased new cartridges (972) but after installing them I was given an error that they're not compatible and it needs 974 cartridges. I was told this error is due to the printer being configured for South America and needing to be reconfigured for N America. I was told to call the support number and they can remotely re-configure the printer. When I called support they've offered ZERO help other than telling me to take it to an authorized service center! I’ve called every service center in Michigan and all of them said they can’t help me. I've spent hundreds of dollars for the ability to print 50 sheets of paper. HELP!!!
