HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e All-in-One Printer

For a HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e is there a way to, or a need to, adjust the rear paper guide? Other printers usually have a rear guide.

The printer seems to have shipped set up for 8.5 x 14" paper and nothing slides forward when pressing the small button on the bottom right side of the paper tray. Could someone post a picture of what the paper tray should look like when properly set up for 8.5 x 11 paper. There are contradictory answers on other older threads as to whether or not there should be a gap between the paper and the end of the tray closest to the front of the printer.

It seems to print fine with the paper pushed all the way in leaving a gap closest to the front of the printer but I haven't printed all that much yet.

UPDATE:  I was finally able to get the length adjustment to move after pressing in the button and fiddling around with it for about 15 minutes. It's very sticky and finicky and apparently has to be in a good mood before it moves. It doesn't lock in at 8.5" and can be moved too far in.  Have to see if it stays there.

Paper tray is very flimsy and poorly designed. Hope I don't need to adjust this very often.
