HP Desk Jet 1512
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi all, i am hoping someone can help me.

I have a HP deskjet 1512 that i have installed to my mac laptop.

I can't print the test page after installation of the drivers as it just comes up with Printer waiting to become available.

Now i have done some research first and read much older posts. I have deleted the printer and then attempted to readd it again. I still have the same issue? ive also reinstalled everything and still have the same issues.

Can anyone advise me of what im doing wrong or if i need to download anything to fix this?

I have been on apple support and they have said to come to hp ?

Any guidance is much appreciated

thanks

Charlie

Hi @MissGalaticFox

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "Cannot print from computer" issue.

Try the steps to resolve the issue -

Let's try and restart the computer and the printer

  1. unplug the USB restart the  computer
  2.  With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4.  Wait at least 60 seconds.
  5.  Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6.  Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  7.  Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Refer to -Troubleshoot a USB Printer Connection and USB Printer Setup (Mac)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
