My printer,

HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

has an expired warranty, and has suddenly just stopped printing. The printer cartridges are completely full and my hp monthly ink subscription has not faltered (my ccard is in good standing and was recently charged for my subscription). Is this meaning I have to purchase a brand new printer all over again?? I just don't understand why it's not printing. I've tried unplugging the unit and resetting it, and still nothing.

Any suggestions??

@PickledElf77, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I understand how frustrating it can be when a printer just stops working, especially when you're paying for a subscription and everything else seems fine. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps for your HP DeskJet 2755e to see if we can get it working again.

Check Printer Connection

Wired Connection: Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB.

Wireless Connection: If using Wi-Fi, check that your printer is connected to the correct network.

Go to the printer's Settings > Network to confirm it's connected.

You can also print a network configuration report directly from the printer to see the status.

Check Printer Status and Ink Levels

Printer Status: Look at the printer’s control panel or software on your computer to make sure it isn’t showing an error like a paper jam, low ink, or other fault.

Ink Levels: Even though the cartridges are full, the printer might not recognize them properly. Try reseating the cartridges:

Turn off the printer, remove the cartridges, and then reinsert them carefully to ensure they are seated correctly.

Check your ink levels again via the HP Smart app or on your computer.

Ensure Paper is Loaded Correctly

Sometimes, the printer won’t print if the paper isn’t loaded properly. Check the paper tray and ensure there are no paper jams or misfeeds.

Restart the Print Spooler Service

Sometimes, the print spooler service on your computer may have gone awry.

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

Scroll down and find Print Spooler.

Right-click and choose Restart.

Update Printer Drivers

Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.

You can also use HP Smart to check and automatically update the driver.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

If none of the above steps help, consider doing a factory reset on your printer:

Turn the printer off.

Press and hold the Cancel button (usually the red X) and the Wireless button simultaneously for 10-15 seconds.

Wait for the printer to reset and then try reconnecting it to your network.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
