I've had my HP Envy 6055 printer for about 3 years, and several computer/location changes. I was having no issues with it until recently - a week ago - it suddenly stopped printing from Windows. I could select it in my printers list from various programs, but documents would go pile up in the print spool with "unknown status". I've since tried what feels like a thousand different things to fix it. I've removed the printer from Windows, uninstalled HP Smart, deleted all HP files and programs, and tried to start afresh. During the setup process in HP Smart, the app on my computer does not find the printer, even though there's less than 10ft apart. I CAN do the printer setup on my mobile HP Smart app, which confirms the printer is connected to my wifi, and lets me print fine from my phone. I can then go back and add the printer to my HP Smart app on my computer, but it remains "Not Installed" and isn't discoverable by my computer except through the HP Smart app. I've also tried adding it through Windows "Add device" - which does not find it - and also through HP Easy Start, which also doesn't find the printer. I've printed the Info page - it's showing the printer is connected to the correct wifi. I've tried downloading drivers directly, but my only options are the HP Smart app or HP Easy start - neither of which is helping. HP Print and Scan doctor and the HP Printer Update firmware wizard thing don't find the printer either. This is driving me insane.

Hi @fixmyprinter77,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with the printer can't print your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove the USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware
