I have an HP Deskjet F4580 installed at home it did connect to the home network for use by all PCs in the network. Recently I got a new modem and router from my ISP provider to replace the old hardware. Problem is the printer will not connect to the network now. Removed it from PCs and reinstalled the software provided by HP for the F4500 series all in one printer, but it could not connect to the network. The network is a 2.4G, all other devices connect without problem to that new router for the home network. When I print the Wireless Network Test Report for that printer the Diagnostic Summary FAIL to get the SSID although it detects 7 Networks and the first of those is my home network SSID.
How can I connect this printer to the network. I have tried as noted above to reinstall the driver and follow the instructions faithfully even to the point where it says to connect temporarily by USB cable, under that mode, of course it communicates with the PC to print but not to the network so no other member of the network can print.
Since this printer has no visible screen to set the wireless network, how do I make it connect?
The wireless blue light just keeps on flashing but never goes steady and does not connect to the network.
Any suggestions and help will be highly appreciated.

Hi @Sadnewbie
1. If there is a new router probably this is the main issue since the older hardware was working.
2. It could be the 2.4G network configuration, because Deskjet F4580 needs to work on a network with 802.11 b/g only configuration mode
3. Also you can try to install with the Original CD for Deskjet F4580 and setup compatibility for Windows 7.
4. And then try to reconfigure your Wireless connection, that may work and you could find solution.

FerRX,
Read your suggestions and try to implement them with no luck. Mean time I went into the bowels of my accumulated CDs and Lo and Behold!!! I found the original HP Deskjet F4500 series which contained the drivers for my printer. Looked for compatibility and set in compatibility of Windows 7, It started and gave m several options to install. One was to Reconfigure the Wireless connection. So, I click on that and like magic it started to do its thing and about 5 minutes later all was done. It even printed a wireless Network report showing all elements PASS connection to the internet SSID and IP address, etc. We all in the home network can share the printer for whatever we need.
Thanks for your interest, help and assistance.
