I just got a new computer so I can run Windows 11. After connecting my HP 4500 to the new computer the printer will not print the complete page. It will start printing but then about 15% or so into the print job it will stop.

@TERRY9333, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The issue you are experiencing with your HP Designjet 4500 could be related to several factors such as driver compatibility, the printer's connection settings, or even specific settings within the printer or your computer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Driver Compatibility: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your HP Designjet 4500 that are compatible with Windows 11. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Printer Connection: Verify that the printer is properly connected to your computer. If you are using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. For network connections, confirm that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Check Print Queue: Sometimes, issues can arise if there are pending jobs in the print queue. You can manage the print queue by accessing the Embedded Web Server's Job Queue section or directly from the printer's control panel.

  • Accessing the Job Queue: Go to the Embedded Web Server (EWS) > "Jobs queue" to manage queued jobs. You can delete or re-prioritize jobs here.

Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings on your computer correspond to the paper size and type you are using. Mismatched settings can cause printing issues.

Check Event Logs: Check the printer’s front panel for any error messages or warnings that may provide insight into the problem.

Run a Printhead Alignment: Sometimes issues can be related to printhead misalignments. Follow the instructions in your manual to perform a printhead alignment from the printer's menu.

Update Firmware: Ensure the firmware on your printer is up to date, as newer firmware can resolve existing bugs or compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
