Hi @clcmphd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP OfficeJet Pro 6455 will not print even a test page. The provided HP guidance suggests these checks:

Reset the printer:

  • Leave the printer turned on.

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

  • Wait 30 seconds.

  • Plug the power cord back in.

  • Wait up to 2 minutes for the printer to restart.

  • If it does not turn on automatically, press Power.

  • Try printing again.

Check the paper:

  • Remove damaged paper, such as ripped, dusty, curled, wrinkled, or bent sheets.

  • Load only one size and type of paper at a time.

  • Align the paper stack by tapping it on a flat surface.

  • Load about 10 to 25 sheets of plain white paper.

  • Make sure the paper guides rest against the stack.

Check print driver paper settings:

  • In the app you are printing from, open Print > Properties.

  • Verify Paper Type matches the loaded paper.

  • Verify Paper Size matches the paper in the tray.

  • Click OK and try again.

Clean the paper rollers:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.

  • Open the rear access area/remove the rear door if available.

  • Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water.

  • Clean the internal pickup rollers with a cotton swab.

  • Let the rollers dry, reassemble, reconnect the power, and try again.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
