Hi @bobgspinball,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your printer is not printing. Kindly refer to the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. Clear the Print Queue

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Select your HP printer and click Open queue. Right-click on each job and select Cancel to clear the print queue.
  1. Restart the Printer and Computer
  • Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.
  1. Check Printer Connection
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. Try using a different USB port on your computer. Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Print a network configuration page to verify the connection status.
  1. Reinstall Printer Drivers
  • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the Official HP® Support. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

    5. Check Printer Status and Settings
  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Select your HP printer and click Manage.
  • Click Set as default. In the Printers & scanners menu, make sure your printer status is set to Ready and not Offline.

    6. Update Printer Firmware
  • Go to the Official HP® Support. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

    7. Check for Software Conflicts
  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer. Try printing a document to see if it resolves the issue.

  • Make sure there are no other printer management programs or drivers installed that might conflict with the HP drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
