Hi

Im trying to set up a HP printer desktop 3700 bought second hand has anyone suggestions on how to set up?

The printer didn’t come with set up guide do I need HP soft-wear, any suggestions?

Follow these instructions:

Unbox and Prepare the Printer:

• Remove Packaging: Carefully remove any tapes, cardboard, and protective materials from the printer.
• Power Connection: Plug the power cable into the printer and a wall outlet. Avoid using power strips to prevent power issues.
• Turn On the Printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Install Ink Cartridges:

• Open Ink Access Door: Open the front ink access door. The cartridge carriage will move to the center.
• Install Cartridges: Remove the setup cartridges from their packaging. Insert them into the correct slots (tri-color on the left, black on the right) until they snap into place.

Load Paper:

• Input Tray: Open the input tray located at the rear of the printer.
• Adjust Guides and Load: Adjust the paper width guides and load a stack of plain paper into the tray.

Download and Install Software:

• HP Smart App: Download the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device's app store. This app will help you through the setup process and provide the necessary drivers.
• Download Drivers: If you prefer, you can manually download the drivers from HP Support. Select your printer model and operating system, then download and install the driver package.

Connect Printer to Network (Optional):

• Wi-Fi Setup: Follow the prompts in the HP Smart app to connect your printer to your wireless network. Ensure you have your Wi-Fi network name and password handy.

Complete the Setup:

• Print Alignment Page: Your printer might automatically print an alignment page. Follow any further instructions prompted by the HP Smart app or printer screen to complete the setup and alignment.

Following these steps should help you set up your HP DeskJet 3700 series printer even without a physical setup guide.
