Hi @Marvin41

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Not to worry I'll do everything I can to help get this sorted for you.

I need some information to assist you better, to help you effectively, I’d like to ask a few clarifying questions so we can pinpoint exactly which code you're referring to:

Are you trying to set up your printer in the HP Smart app or on HP’s website?

  • If so, are you being asked for a claim code, activation code, or WPS PIN?

Is the printer already connected to your Wi-Fi network, or are you still in the setup phase?

  • If not connected, the code might relate to wireless setup.

Do you see any message on the printer’s control panel or in the HP Smart app asking for a code?

  • If yes, what exactly does the message say?

Are you trying to register the printer for HP Instant Ink or enable Web Services?

  • These features often require a printer claim code.

Have you printed a network configuration or information page recently?

  • That page may contain the code or IP address needed for setup.

Could you also share the image of the screen where the code / password is prompted for better understanding?

Once I understand which code you're being asked for, I’ll guide you through retrieving it step by step. You're doing the right thing by asking—let’s get this sorted together.

Do let me know the requested information so that I can assist you further.

Awaiting your response,

Thanks!
