I have an old HP printer. It was working a week ago before I changed internet wifi companies. Went through Microsoft help session. They tossed to HP. Now I can get past the HP contact step cuz when I put the serial number listed ON MY printer, it keeps saying “Please enter valid serial number” I Am. Can’t get a human and can’t get past this page on contact us. HELP!!! I may NEVER buy an HP product again!!!! Printer is a HP Officejet 6500A

Hi @Silver757

1. You may need to check that your new Internet Wifi provider is giving a 2.4G network, because that printer Officejet 6500A only works with a network speed 2.4G.

  • So the first option could be to contact your Internet provider and ask them to change configuration on Wifi router to provide a 2.4G network.
  • After doing that change to have a 2.4G network, you should be able to install your printer.

2. About serial number on HP Support page, that could be related to the age of the printer and old serial numbers are not showing valid.

  • Why ? I don´t know I am just a volunteer in this Community. 😇
