Dear all,

my HP7500A which has been a good companion for years now shows the problem of printhead blocked - no paper jam is to be found even after careful search, and the printhead is stuck to the right side (it does not move to the center when opening the printer, and I can also not move it manually, be it while on or off or off the electricity grid). Suspicion is that there has been some SW failure due to sometimes the printer is switched off from the power supply, not using the on/off button (learned my lesson there). As I see no mechanical obstruction and it had worked a couple of days ago, I suspect a SW error - how can I reset the printer or the SW and get the printer running again?
