HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
Microsoft Windows 11

I have been unable to print on legal size paper from tray 1 perhaps since I updated the HP software on my Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw a month or 2 ago.  When I request a print, legal, tray 1...the printer asks me to load tray 1...the paper loads seemingly normally...then I get a confirmation about paper size and tray (I can modify or continue) ...I hit continue, and it tells me to load the legl paper in tray 1 again and the only button available on the screen is cancel.  It just doesn't

I suggest that you set the tray paper size to legal on the printer so that it does not prompt you to change paper types.

Forgot to tell you...the prompt about paper size still came up after I changed the paper size on the printer itself, but when I confirmed the legal size it started to print.
