I am trying to print personal checks on a HP ENVY PHOTO 7155 all-in-one printer. I used the check-printing program with previous HP printers that had a slot or other in which to put the check. How do I print checks on this new printer? Thanks.

Hi @robhic,
I'd like to help!
What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?
Use the width guides to insert the checks in the printer -
Pull out the paper tray, and then slide the paper-width guides outward.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am sorry for taking so long to check back for suggestions to fix my printing question. This is the problem:
I have a stand-alone personal check-writing program I've used for years. I use it to print individual, personal checks from my checkbook. The checks are 6" wide X 2 1/2" high. My old HP printer(s) had a slot to insert the checks. The program - "Check Printer" - has all the settings to adjust the blank lines upon which to print (where you would write if done by hand) for Payee name, dollar amount, written amount, date, note, etc. After matching the location of the lines on which to print on the check (you print a sort of template on plain paper and put a check under this to see if all matches) you place (used to ...) the blank check in the slot oriented to print location and direction (set in the check-printing program also) and hit 'print'. This ENVY printer has no such accommodation for checks and the paper-guides do not close down far enough for a check. The main paper tray and the photo tray are equally useless for this purpose.
I can find nothing, anywhere to give me any information for printing checks. Is it even possible, as the advertisement proclaims, or is that not correct? This is a very important ability for me and old printers did it ... why not this new unit?

No, the ENVY printer does not (at least that I can find) have a way to print individual checks using my stand-alone program "Check Printer." The paper guides will not accommodate a 6" X 2 1/2" personal check. I just posted a detailed description of the program I use to print checks. The old printers did it, this new unit - not so much.
Does ANYONE have some idea hoe to accomplish what I would like to do? It really shouldn't be this difficult!!! 😡

The printer does not support the check size, you may refer to the printer specifications for more information.
Hope this helps!
