I have been forced to revert to my laptop whilst my Mac is in for repair.

My Printer is a Brother MFC-J5320DW with the latest Drivers. The laptop is choosing to use the Windows Default Drivers rather that the Brother Drivers for a Windows OS

The printouts are filling an A4 sheet in Landscape as if it was an A5 sheet

I have been through all of the possible settings available to me from inside Windows.

I have read the previous posts on this subject but nothing is working. It is as if it wasprinting a book with the two pages side by side on the same A4 sheet.

If you have not done so, install the printer software for your Brother printer.

Additional details added to the Homepage link for the Brother printer (end of message)

I would guess the print drivers are indeed making this decision.

Unfortunately (or not, depending on your idea of fortune), we cannot assist with your Non-HP printer.

I would guess you have much better luck at the Brother support / forum / site.

That said...

The following is offered "as is" and FYI only...

In general, if you are depending on the Windows print drivers, the drivers can provide for standard printing.

That means, standard paper settings, standard options, little or none of the features you'd expect from your branded printer.

For example, you may not have the option to find adjust some printing options.

What else?

You could try using Add-a-Printer to perhaps grab a better Brother print driver.

Extrapolate the information that would be different when searching for - and loading - a Brother print driver.

What else?

If the printer is trying to print "1/2" size, you might be able to use Adobe Reader DC to help the printer select the way you want to print.

Adobe Reader DC – Needed Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

NOTE:  Adobe Reader DC software should be installed even if you do not normally open / view / print PDF files directly from the Adobe Reader DC software.

If you allowed Windows to automatically detect and install your printer, it will use the Microsoft drivers, which in most  cases to not work well. Download the printer setup from Brother's website and reinstall.
