Printing from HP Laserjet Pro MFP M148dw with USB connection Windows 11

I simply can't understand WHY my printer can't print directly from my laptop, connected via a USB. Every time I go to print, I get a print out of "HP Web Services". I am not interested in Web Services. I just want to print from my lap top. I downloaded diagnostics and it says there is no USB connection. Just not true. I followed instructions to uninstall existing devices on Windows 11 - now it is asking for my WPS code which I don't know how to recover from my printer. All the online information is sending me around and around in circles. I just want someone to talk me through.

I see that you are facing issues with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw wherein it does not print when connected by USB cable.
