I have tried to contact HP Technical support, but gave up after waiting half an hour on the phone (at 9:15 AM).
- I am trying to figure out how to print from HP Smart. If I have a particular document on my screen, how do I get to print it directly from HP Smart? Or should I even bother?? as I can use the Mac's own printer protocol? With HP Smart I am usually directed to browse my documents and choose the one I want to print. If I have a new document, I do not need to browse to find it... why go through the trouble of saving it if I do not necessarily want to save it?
- Also, how can I choose between one sided and two sided printing from HP Smart?

@Eskay1, Welcome to HP Support Community!
If you'd want to print directly, I'd suggest you use the AirPrint feature to print from. Refer to the document HP Printers - Printing with Apple AirPrint (Mac) for help.
To print double-sided from the HP Smart App, follow the steps below-
Print a document saved on your Mac.
-
Click the Print Documents tile.
-
Find the file you want to print from the Documents folder, the Pictures library, or any folder on the Mac.
-
Select the document you want, and then click Print.
The Print window opens.
-
Select a different printer or make any changes to the print settings, such as orientation, two-sided, paper size or output quality.
-
Click Print.
Refer to the document HP Printers - Install and Use the HP Smart App (Mac).
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
