@Nanny140, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query.
It seems like your printer’s feeling a bit dramatic and decided to make your text a star—a little too big for the stage! Don't worry, we’ll tame that text and make sure your flowers are printed beautifully, without taking over the whole page like they're ready for a red carpet. With a few quick tweaks to the print settings, we’ll get everything sized just right—so the flowers can shine, and the text can stay modest. Let’s do this! 💪
Check Print Settings:
- Windows/Mac Printing:
- When printing from your computer, check the Print Preview settings before clicking "Print."
- In the print dialog, ensure that the Page Scaling or Scale to Fit setting is set to "None" or "100%." If it's set to anything else (like "Fit to Page" or "Shrink to Printable Area"), it could cause the text to become too large.
- You can also try adjusting the Paper Size and make sure it's set correctly to the paper you're using (e.g., A4, Letter, etc.).
Check App-Specific Print Settings:
- If you’re printing from a specific application (like Photos, Preview, or any other photo app), there might be app-specific print settings that adjust the size.
- In the app's Print Settings dialog, check for any Scaling or Size Adjustment options and make sure they are set to print at the actual size of the image or document.
Printer Settings:
- Open the HP Smart App or the HP Printer Software and go to the Printer Settings.
- Check for any Paper Size or Scaling settings and ensure they are appropriate for the content you're printing.
- In some cases, the printer might automatically scale the print job to fit the page. Disabling this feature can fix the text size issue.
Check Screenshot Resolution:
- Take note of the resolution of your screenshots. If they were taken in a very high resolution, the printout might appear much larger than expected.
- Try resizing or editing the screenshot before printing. You can reduce its resolution using image editing software or resize it to match your printer’s paper size.
Update Printer Drivers and Firmware:
- Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with print scaling. Make sure that the drivers for your HP Smart Tank 6001 printer are up to date.
- You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart App or HP Support website.
Reset Printer Settings:
- If none of the above work, you may want to try resetting the printer to its default settings. This might clear any settings that are causing the problem.
- Check the printer’s manual for how to reset to factory settings.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
