HP OfficeJet 5252 All-in-One Printer

HP OfficeJet 5252 ALL-in-One Printer.  The  printing is delayed all of a sudden. Print something and it comes out maybe tonight or the next day.

I understand you are experiencing delayed printing can be frustrating. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet 5252 All-In-One Printer:

 

Check Printer Status and Settings

Ensure the Printer is Set as Default:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP OfficeJet 5252 and select Set as default printer.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Double-click on your printer to see the print queue.
  • Cancel all pending print jobs.

Restart the Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  • Right-click and select Restart.

Check Network Connection

Check Wi-Fi Signal:

  • Ensure the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Consider moving the printer closer to the router.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless or Network menu.
  • Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Restart your router and printer by unplugging them, waiting for 30 seconds, and plugging them back in.

Update and Reinstall Drivers

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the updated drivers on your computer.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Uninstall the printer from your computer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the HP website.

Check for Firmware Updates

  1.  Update the firmware on an HP printer update Printer Firmware:
    • Go to the printer’s control panel.
    • Navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.

Troubleshoot Software Conflicts

  1. Check for Conflicting Software:
    • Ensure that no other printer management software is conflicting with your HP printer software.
    • Disable any third-party firewall or antivirus software temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

Other Troubleshooting Steps

Print from Another Device:

  • Try printing from a different device (another computer or smartphone) to see if the issue persists.

Check for Errors or Warnings:

  • Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer's control panel.

Reset the Printer:

  • Restore the printer to its factory settings by going to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
