I have a business and need to print drawings or parts of drawings to the scale indicated on the plans. I own an HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One printer. Can I set my printer to enable this function? It would save me time and money forwarding the pdf to a printing/reproduction company.

Hi @00Squirrel,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Prepare Your Document:
- Ensure your drawing or document is in PDF format as this provides better fidelity and precision in scale printing.
Open the Document:
- Use a PDF viewer software like Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the document you want to print.
Access the Print Settings:
- Go to File > Print or press Ctrl + P (Cmd + P on Mac) to access the print dialog.
Adjust Print Scale Settings:
- In the print dialog, look for settings related to scale. In Adobe Acrobat, for example, you will find an option under "Page Sizing & Handling."
- Choose "Actual size" to maintain the intended scale of your PDF document.
- If you need to adjust the scale manually, select "Custom Scale" and input the desired scaling percentage.
Select Your Printer:
- Make sure that the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is selected as the printer in the print dialog.
Check Other Print Settings:
- Ensure that the correct paper size and orientation are selected to match your document requirements.
Print the Document:
- Once all your settings are configured correctly, click Print to execute the job.
Printing to scale directly from the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 should save you time and eliminate the need to forward documents elsewhere, provided the printer’s physical printing capabilities align with your size and scaling requirements.
If you do frequent scale printing, consider creating a custom print preset to simplify the process for future documents.
I hope this helps.
