Hi, we have had the latest update for this printer ( to sort DL envelope issue), and ever since it now prints 3mm too high causing the top words on labels to be cut off....

Even stranger is that the other printer, a 7740 prints fine.... This leads me to the conclusion that there is an issue or conflict in the new update?? Can anyone help?

Thanks

Eric

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting alignment issues while printing, after a new update on the printer.

I am glad to assist you to fix the issue.

Which update did you install on the printer, printer firmware, or printer software on the computer?

Meanwhile:-

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix printing issues.

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.

  1. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.

  2. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.

    • If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.

    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.

  3. If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.

  4. If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.

  5. Try to print.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
