Laserjet M209dw

I am an IT Technician for a university in Georgia.  I installed the HP Laserjet M209dw (product # - 6GW62A) printer using the USB port to a Dell Optiplex 7060 running Windows 10 64bit.  This printer is used as a standalone printer.  The user does not have an additional Ethernet port, and the university Wi-Fi does not support standalone printers.  After installing the print drivers and connecting the USB port, the user was able to print a test page and continue printing before the Christmas break.  Upon returning to work this week, she can no longer print.  The information icon flashes on the printer when printing, and an error printout is delivered stating that "Your HP printer must be set up using the HP Smart app".  I used the HP Smart App to setup the printer.  When running the HP Smart App now, a blue "Finish Setup" button appears.  When clicked, it wants to setup using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.  I only want to use the USB connection.

What must I do to remove the Finish Setup button and use the USB connection?
