There are no error messages. Documents (pages) print correctly on other HP, EPSON and Canon printers. HP software and drivers removed and reinstalled several times with no change with thr problem.

Hi @Streak8,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 9019e is printing the first page (or a single page) about 1 cm lower than expected, while the same documents print correctly on other printers. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm the issue is limited to the first page
Print a multi-page document and check whether only the first page is shifted.
If subsequent pages are correctly aligned, this points to a top-margin or feed initialization issue rather than a document problem.

Check document margins and paper size
Open the document’s Page Setup or Layout settings and confirm the top margin is not set unusually large.
Verify the paper size (A4 or Letter) matches the paper loaded in the printer tray.

Verify printer paper settings
On the printer control panel or in the print dialog, confirm the selected paper size and type match what is physically loaded.
Mismatch between driver paper size and tray paper can cause the printer to shift the print start position.

Disable borderless or scaling options
In the printer properties, ensure Borderless Printing is turned off.
Set scaling to 100% or “Actual size” and disable options like “Fit to page” or “Scale to fit.”

Test printing from a different application
Print a simple document from another app (for example, a basic text editor or PDF viewer).
If the offset still occurs, the issue is printer- or driver-related rather than application-specific.

Reset printer print settings
Open printer preferences and restore settings to default values.
This clears any saved custom margin or layout settings that may only affect the first page.

Update printer firmware
Ensure the printer is connected to the internet and powered on for several minutes.
Firmware updates can correct paper feed timing and margin alignment issues.

Run printer alignment and calibration
From the printer’s maintenance or tools menu, run alignment or calibration if available.
This helps correct feed position and print start timing, especially on the first page.

I hope this helps.
